Kaylin Martella, BA, RN
- Professional Staff Nurse
I received my BA in English and BA in Communication Arts and Sciences from Penn State (Main campus) in 2008. Then I worked inpatient at WPH on the CADD unit for 10 years while simultaneously working other jobs with adults, babies and kids with autism and developmental disabilities. I didn't start my nursing journey until 2018 and since then I've worked bedside in med-surg, covid, and medical oncology, and I've also worked in outpatient surgical oncology. I attended UPMC St. Margaret School of Nursing, class of 2020.
I'm a self-proclaimed cat mama to Donkey and Dracula and am originally from Pittsburgh. I love to do crafts (embroidery, upcycling items, adult paint by numbers, punch art) and decorating for holidays. I love anything with a theme, whether that be a holiday or a party. I'm obsessed with anything Halloween, spooky or oddities, taking Donkey for walks in his stroller up on Mt. Warsh, explore different indie book stores, read, be with friends and family, travel (I've been to Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, and Hungary internationally and will be going to Iceland next summer). My favorite animal is a donkey, hence my cats name, and I absolutely adore animals. I love to go to concerts (rap is my favorite genre) and explore different Pittsburgh neighborhoods. My favorite place to be in the entire world is to be at a tailgate on a Saturday at Penn State.
