Camp Rise Up is a FREE day camp coming Spring 2026! The camp is for youth ages 11-18 who have lost a loved one to suicide. The camp has been developed for youth who have suffered a suicide loss and would benefit from a day that allows them to express their grief with others who have had a shared life experience, remember the person they lost in a positive light and find hope in the community spirit of camp. The Highmark Caring Place is creating all healing activities which will be intermixed with fun activities that are developed specifically for each age range.
All founding members are active volunteers with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, have experienced a personal loss to suicide and have been trained by AFSP to facilitate suicide loss support groups for kids and teens.
We recognized a lack of support in our area for youth who have experienced a suicide loss, and are hoping that Camp Rise Up's Inaugural camp will be the first of many avenues of support for kids and teenagers.
